Default The trouble with Strange struts

If you are looking to get Strange struts, here is something to keep in mind:

Strange struts: For unknown reasons, Strange makes their strut shaft undersized. It is 0.619" in diameter instead of the standard Mustang size of 0.629" (16mm). This allows the strut shaft to move within the 16mm spherical bearing, causing noise, unless the strut shaft retaining nut is extremely tight.

I came across this little tidbit while researching why my new MM CC plates and Strange struts were so noisy. This is a little note on the bottom of the MM CC plate tech page for the 94-04 Mustang, but was nowhere mentioned on their faq page nor in any advertising.

It seems like the only Caster camber plate that makes noise with the strange stuff is the MM ones, my 10 ways combined with my 4 bolt UPR plates make no noise.

^^I haven't had any trouble with Strange 10-ways making noise either.
