Default svo project

well i bought a 1984 svo from my brother in law a while back. he told me something went wrong with the engine so he just stuck it into a barn. so 5 years went by and mice got to the wiring and everything. when i hooked up a battery to it some wires went up in smoke so i gotta replace that. but i think the engine is done for so i was wondering is the svo engine hard to find or is it the same thing as a ranger.? i dont know much about cars so be kind

Did you try ebay or anything?
I'm sure they might have something.

Not COMPLETELY positive.
but i believe the Turbocoupe in the older thunderbirds are the same engine basically.

some of the Turbo Coupes have the very same motor. you can checkout www.svoca.com for Frequently asked Questions just like the one your asking.

The SVO engine is almost like the Bird's close but not. Most of the parts swap over. What do u need I got 3 birds and an SVO

The wiring does not need to be swapped just adapted. This is alot less work then doing a whole damn swap.
