Prolly simple answer questions
I bought a 1984 Mustang svo a few months ago and the power steering pump went out in it will the power steering pump off of a 86 mustang n/a work in my car and for some reason the car was missing the driver side rear brake caliper and i was wondering if these were easy do it my self fixes. Thanks
The powersteering pumps brand new arent expensive. I bought one from autozone for like 55 bucks. You just need to keep the pully from your old pump and throw it on the new one. Its not a hard job at all. As for the rear caliper, If you dont have one it might be hard to find a used original one. Theres a good wedsite www.forced4.com that sells most of the original breaking parts brand new. While youre at it, you should rebuild all the calipers to make sure none of the pistons are sticking. The rebuild kits are like 3-4 bucks its just 2 rubber seals. Everything on this car is easy to work with.
Thanks thats a lot of help most of the mods to this car were fairly simple and you could tell a drastic difference but i was also wondering when i bought my car all the lines (i was told vaccuum lines) were cut!! i wasnt sure why anyone would do this to a car there were no lines running from the wastegate or anything so i ran one from the wastegate to the turbo and my car stopped choking at high rpms i just needed to now where each vaccuum line runs to and from if anyone has a decent pic of their engine or just help cuz i am so frustrated thanks and where could i get the reservoir for the windshield wash fluid and how the lines run from there thanks!!
