Default large vam?

hello guys my name is chad an i got a 84 svo an looking to do a few mods. i hear a lot of people talking about a large vam? does it come out of a diffrent car? or store bought. the car is stock other than a flowmaster and a MBC. can any one answer this for me? thanks chad

The large VAM came stock in all SVO's. #1 bang for your buck modification is going to be a downpipe/exhaust and an adjustable boost controller.

so i have a large vam in my 84 svo from factory? thought it would of came out of a turbo coupe,like most other parts do. i have a MBC ALRESDY AND A KN air filter. thanks for the input, im gonna check out down pipes from stinger. chad

Yes, all SVO's 84-86 had the large VAM. 87-88 TC's have the large VAM as well. You might consider sourcing an LA3 computer and 35# injectors from one. The LA3 is slightly more aggressive while also providing a bit smoother every day operation. Larger injectors are always good when playing with the boost, even if they are only 5# larger.
