I have a 98 GT that has a remanufactored Cobra motor in it(non-supercharged) It was made in 2000. How can I tell if the motor is for a 98 or some other year? And where is the Engine Code?

They didnt make cobra motors in 2000. Take a pic of your motor, and post in here, and ill tell you what you have.

Yea they never had a cobra motor for 2000. They had 99 01 03 and on.

I believe non-supercharged cobra motors 99-01 have 320, which is about 272 to the rear. 96-98 have about 305, which is about 260 to the rear.

Watch out for the 99 engines though. They had a hp defect that can be fixed by the dealer.

its doubtfull that there are any 99 in remander that havent been fixed...it was a factory recall. my friends dad had one, and got a bad *** svt jacket for the inconvinience

Wanna bet...Ford made 200 cobras in the year 2000. My neighbor has one. They stopped production in late 99...But they had already produced a small amount of cobras....Some where to be a funny gold color....My neighbor has this color.
