Best Setup For 03 COBRA
i gotta 03 cobra a few days back... and it sounds like a damn honda and i cant stand it... can you guys give me a list of things to do to the exhast system, i want it to be a deep sound, and fairly loud... but i dont care about that to much, im looking for the most hp... i was thinking... long tube headers and a catback system... and maybe an xpipe or something... i live in cali where emissions are ****ed... so can some people give me some ideas... thanks and does it come stock with freeflow cats?

isnt the stock catback pretty restricting? and if i got thos mods and a chip, how much hp do you think id have?410 or so? all i got done is a cold air intake on it now

you dont need a chip unless you get a smaller supercharger pulley...keep the stock catback on, but use electric cut outs. whenever you wanted to go fast, or be reallyyyy loud, just open them up.

Say I wantd to put a smaller pulley and a reprogrammer on. Should I keep the stock cat back and put on cut-outs like you said, or is it ok to put on aftermarket setup with the new pulley, etc? If headers and new cat back are the way to go, what would be the best set up but still for a reasonable price? Mainly looking for power hear and not sound.

sound comes with power...cut outs are only good if you want to roll around quite, but when you race you can open them up and bleed your ears it will be so loud. ide personally rather have the magnaflow catback

Unless the Cobra world is even more night/day different than Camaro world than I thought, long tube headers are illegal in Cali. I haven't been able to find not one manufactuer that has a C.A.R.B. # posted w/ his LT's. Also, what difference does it make which cat-back he goes w/. A Cat back doen't affect emissions not even one little bit. It starts behind the cat..... ie: Catback. NEWay, just do your research if you're trying to keep her legal. Rule of thumb though, if it has to do w/ cats, it's a no no. Even moving the stock cats out of place is illegal in this state. Oh.... and good news, they just passed a new ordinance that will put another 30% decrease in allowable emissions over the next 10 years!! Yeah.... I love California! [sm=smiley34.gif]
