1st. Can 17"x10.5" wheels fit back AND front on a 03 Cobra? ...Considering http://www.stangmods.com/Black_FR500...sh_p/00310.htm front and back

2nd. Can 17"x11" wheels fit on the back (only) of a 03 Cobra? ...Considering Micky Thompson rubber for the strip.

3rd. How large can you go on a 6cyl back AND front? ...Please tell me 17"x10.5"

My goal is to have the 17"x10.5" FR500 wheels wrapped in Nitto's for weekend driving on the Cobra. However if the rims don't suit me on the Cobra I want to put them on the 6cyl (if they fit). The 17"x11" wheels and MT's are for the infrequent trips to the strip.

well i've heard all over the board on this one. Sometimes they fit great and sometimes people have to get some spacers. So i say get them and check it out. Regardless you can make them fit.

 

i just put 17x10.5 on back of 99 cobra and everything fit fine except the knuckle rubbed a little bit, so i took a grinder and fixed it fits fine now, i dont think they will fit the front without spacers.

 

i borrowed a friend's for the track , there on my car right now still. there 17x10.5 heres the problem with the car jacked up, when you bolt the rim on it hits the upper bolt for the irs the wheel wont turn , i had some spacers allready , so i put them on ,,but after i lowered the car on the ground with the weight on the suspension , it clears the bolt good, so you dont need the spacer really you just got to jack the car up under the control arm , keeping the weight on the susp. and you will be fine, the wheels have bfgr g force tires 315/35/17 they look great under the car they actually are out just i bit from the stock rims , which i wanted, the 315's have 12in rubber to the ground , compared to the 9in with the F1's ,,p/s i never tryed them on the front. i got them for another week, i may just try them to see . if they rub. ill keep you posted.

 

you can shave the irs bolt to help them fit i know some buddies of mine did that to fit 315's on their cobras bu i think they are still on the stock rims.
