Ok, im on my way home from my moms house today at about 4:04 pm right when matt bryant kicked the 62 yard field goal for the buccaneers(i was listening to it on the radio). And all of the sudden i hear this very loud noise comming up soon. It was this 3000 gt vr-4. I dont know what year but it was twin turboed. I heard the spooled up turbos from like a block away. We are side by side just cruising on us 19 in tarpon springs, and i look over and hes like waving his hands wanting my to race.....so me being me starts to beep my horn. On the third beep we take off and from a 55 mph roll he gets me......i look down and im doing like 135 and hes about 4 cars infront of me. With my good luck we catch a red light together and he rolls down the window and says " you like that dont you" and i said " yea your going to like what happends when this light turns green. Ok the light turned green and i launched the hell out of it......didnt miss a gear(thank god because my synchros are shot). To 100 mph i had like a 3 car lenghs on him but he started to close in on me but we both let out of it.....so he one the first one but from a stop i took his ***.

Im surprised you got him from a dig. The VR-4s are AWD. Nice kill. My buddy has a 92 twin turboed, it prob runs high 14s. The 93 and up are quick though.

i just bought a 99 cobra and i'm trying to figure out what gears i need to switch to. i talked to someone about 3.73's and they said it's hard to get the tires to stick with those gears, so i was thinking about the 3.55's. i have 10.5's on the back. does anyone have 3.55's? if you have 3.73's, was it worth the change?

no. dude cobras are high rpm DOHC so 4.10 nothing less!!!!!

SVT the VR4's are semi quick but they are hella heavy. they are rated at 320HP at the crank but they got somthing like 400lbs on a Cobra I think. You should, with all things being equal have no problem with a VR4. Out of the late 90's sports cars (300ZX TT, Supra TT, and the VR4) The VR4 was the slowest somthing like 5.9 - 6.0 sec 0-60 time. If he was able to reel you in and close the gap, from a str8 up run I am sure the car was not stock. Nice Kill though.

Yeah stick with 4.10's in the rear, i got a 99 cobra which used to have 10.5's (hydroplaned, cracked rim) but i did all i could to control it with my P-1SC...with the wheel hop the IRS gets, your gonna need some better handling outback to hook it up (my #1 problem) 3.73's would be a little bit more conservative and gas friendly
