Cobra tune

RE: Cobra tune
I got some bolt ons and I really thought a tune made a good difference, haven't got her on the dyno yet but really noticed the difference. I just have a 91 tune and 10 -15 RWHP sounds realistic to me. Hope this helps

Anyone else agree that 15hp from just the tuner with light mods on a cobra is accurate?

I think 15HP is realistic on a slightly modded Cobra. The company that you buy your tuner from should ask you for your mods when you buy one. This way they can program it specifically for your mods so you can get the most out of it. I have the Xcal2 that I bought from Dallas Mustang and they tuned it right in front of me. Also, many companys use SCT to program vehicles during dyno sessions. Meaning, I bought an SCT Xcal2, but I want the safest tune for my S/C car. Now, I can pay $150 an hour for dyno time and tuning while they use my tuner. They will then save the program. Not a bad deal. Not saying the Diablo is not good, but more companys tend to use the SCT program to dyno tune. Texas Hot Rods (El Paso, TX) has one of the best SCT tuning programs available. The owner Brian won't let his techs touch an SCT until they complete the SCT course. They even ask if you have baffles mufflers (Flows) or resonators (Maganpacks).
