Hello people, Merry Christmas!! New to your forum. Have been into Mustangs for years. Sold my 68 GT500 and my 65 Hipo car and wanted something special. Time to move on to the new Mustangs. I just bought the above R code on E-Bay. I have known the car from new. Can't believe I really own it. Will be picking it up in a few days. I will be returning the car back to completely stock. This car has been road raced but the owner kept every thing so that it could be returned to stock. I will need to change the dash pad and aseveral small parts but he has them all. Biggest problem will be repairing the doors as he cut them to clear the roll bars. I
f anyone is interested ALL aftermarket race parts including wheels and tires will be for sale.. 603-466-5407

Why would anybody waste their money on either of those pieces of crap? One was FLOODED. Are you guys mechanics? FLOODED. Don't waste your money on either of those.

I bought this one knowing how hard they are to come accross. Number 6 is one of the first built. The owner kept every part knowing someday he would return it to stock. I will have to purchase a new dash pad from Ford along as a front bumper. The bumper was cut for two reasons. One was to allow more air to the radiator and the other to lessen the down force applied buy the front valance. He was black flaged at one race because the valance was actuall touching the ground. All these parts are available from Ford. The owner of this car ownes a dyno shop and this car was his best advertizement . Remember the old saying: Race on Sunday, sell on Monday!!Very good selling feature for his business. I allready have people (two from Austria) inquiring if it is for sale as more and more people are afraid of buying on E-Bay. I plan to keep this one for a while and slowly return it to stock. Take it to Lime Rock for a few hot laps.I live 5 miles from Mt.Washington and may run it in the hill climb. Have had all kinds of Mustangs but this one doesn't compare.Horsepower to weight ratio is unreal!! What a ride !!!!

David_K if your into racing then I guess I'd say buy it... but at that point theres not much difference between it and the 5.0-4.6 cobra. what makes that diff is engine size and rareity... and after looking at your ebay link.. the only diff is engine size now. The thing is butchered, youll never ever get the worth out of it without doing a major resto. Its not worth it to say you own an R
