Yea bro, they have laws to protect the dealership from voiding your warranty if you install aftermarket parts on your car. The dealership has to prove that a particular installed part caused the problem of whatever happened.

So if you install a short throw shifter and your engine throws a rod, obviously the shifter had nothing to do with the engine, so it will still be warrantied.
