Farewell cobra. :(

RE: Farewell cobra. :(
I feel your pain. My first Cobra convertible was Mystichrome #697 (of 1,010) that I bought brand new on February 5, 2004. It was my college graduation present to myself. I had saved for this car since I was in high school. It was totaled by a red light runner on June 5, 2005. My insurance covered the entire cost of the car since it was only a year old and also because of it being rare (a Mystichrome Cobra convertible, one of 495 built). Just seeing the crash photos of #697 sitting there with nothing left of its front end (it was hit from the driver's side at an estimated speed of 45 mph) makes me sick everytime. They totaled it on the basis of its frame rails being bent nearly 90 degrees. Also, would you believe that the impact cracked the block?!? YIKES, talk about some kind of force!
But then, sadness turned into happiness.
On June 29, 2005, I purchased my current Cobra ... Mystichrome #969, also a convertible. It was still for sale brand new on the Ford dealer's showroom floor up in Northern California. And I've never looked back since. I baby this one more than my first, cherishing every moment I'm behind the wheel. Sounds cliche but true, you just never know when something like this may happen again, and your sweet ride will be taken away in the blink of an eye. All from someone else's mistake. What a shame!
I guess what I'm trying to say is that there is ALWAYS a silver lining to every trial and tribulation. Take it from someone who's been there before!

Hey, I just traded in my 03 Cobra at Colorado River Ford in Bullhead City, AZ. I bought the car new, and never drove or modified it. It's got 6,000. miles on it, never wrecked, always garaged, mint condition! I gave them all the stuff Ford sent me, like the born-on cert. and everything else. Its not a convert, but it is very hard to find a 03 Cobra in this collectable condition. If they total yours, you may want to go check out this car. I drove buy last night on the way to the river run, and it was still there. The sticker on it is 26k, they will take 24k.P.S. Sorry to here about your Cobra. Hope this helps!

yeah i am a teenage driver and drive better then most adults i LOVE my car so i am careful everywhere but one time after school some grl tried to make a U-turn and pulled out infront of me and i T-boned her. her car was totaled cuz it was rice and i hit it in weakest spot..my car having an engine to absorb impact was only near totaled...It was 80% the girls fault for making the illegal turn and 20% my fault for doing 35 in a 25 zone...(its a long street)
