Default drag radials?

i have an 04 cobra with intake, exhaust, 2.76 pulley, heatexchanger, and an irs brace for the rear. I was thinking about getting 275/40/17 nitto 555r's. do you guys think that with drag radials, theres a chance that i will brake my axels or rear end because of too much traction? i've heard stories about this happening to cars. what do you guys think? because our cars don't even hook up straight from the factory lol.

nittos you shouldnt... as long as you dont do any bad dumps you should be ok... I have 315/35 nittos and 100% stock suspension and am fine... Just remember, if you feel wheel hop, REMOVE YOUR FOOT FROM THE GAS! If you do that you'll be fine...

+1 to that, i am on the same setup with an irs brace and havent had any problems, i did however break a diff cover while on the street tires. the DR's will also help prevent some of the wheel hop issues.

can you fit 315 nitto d/r on a stock 9 inch rim?
just curious, because I know Nittos tend to run small...
