So you just muscle your car into reverse every time? From what I read, a GM coolant temp sensor plugs right into the reverse lockout selenoid, and you can wire that to the hot on your brake lights. I havent bought the part yet for my swap, but will in the next few weeks.
No I just removed the whole thing.

BTW for my total conversion I spent $1,800 including a Rebuilt with 0 miles Tranny($1,500) and opted for the 03-04 aluminum Driveshaft($200).

thanks! I have everything sitting in my garage except a new pinion seal and crush sleeve. Didnt think of those. I have a '03 Cobra T56 w/ 26 spline input, Spec 3+ clutch and '03 alum. flywheel, and 4.56's going in to make up for the '03 spec 1st gear.

What did you have to do to remove the reverse lockout selenoid and block it off?

A 30mm Freeze plug will work. Another thread I was involved in.
