it will be like going from a honda civic to your current car. You wont be disappointed in the car by any means. It's up to how you feel about the payments. Nobody here is going to tell you not to trade a GT for a Terminator.

I lost 1-2mpg with the Cobra with all my mods... I get around 15mpg city and around 19-20 hwy... some people get more, but i kinda drive heavy, lol... It handles nice, just have to watch out the heat on the motor so you don't pop something. Those FAQ's are AWESOME! read them!

Ported blower, 2.81 pulley, heat exchanger, spec 3 clutch, midpipe/catback, intake, tune, mgw... around 500rwhp... and i lost 2mpg or so over my 04' gt with: header back exahust, intake, tune, suspension, tb/plenum, pulleys and mgw.. lol

Was it worth the gas sacrifice?? uhmm yeah. lol

the forged pistons in the 03/04 cobras are the weakest link in the short block.Probe Pistons makes a nice replacement that can handle a lot more hp. They fixed this problem with the gt500, but now the rods suck, hehehe! They just can't seem to get it right!!

If you are thinking about buying a used Cobra I would recommend you read through the FAQ page on my website. It has a lot of good, basic information. http://www.stangshiftergaskets.com/2003_2004faqs.htm

On that same page there is a specific link with tips when buying a used '03-'04 Cobra. http://www.stangshiftergaskets.com/2...m#_Toc35092330

Best of luck with your hunt. Personally I think you'd love the '03/'04 Cobra. It makes nice power stock (340-395rwhp for the record) and can be very easily modded to make 450rwhp on a minimal investment of upper pulley, idler(s), intake, exhaust and tune. Many would complain at times that it is TOO easy to mod. LOL!
