Lets start out by telling how this all happen. Ok..So I went out to the track for like my 2 time with the Cobra friday night. Best time I got was 13.6.(It's all stock so I didn't really expect much)

Anyways... On my last run. I went and lined up. Lunched it and it started wheel hoping. BAD.. so I let go a little but It didn't stop. I took it slowly then it stop.. so then I moved on to get a 14.1... how lame.

I decide it was time to go. I start heading out of the place and felt like going a little fast on the freeway. Get on the on ramp and once I give it gas it starts to wheel hop. I'm thinking to myself...."this never happen before". After that I drove home calm and at the SPEED LIMIT.

Get home thinking to myself..."I hope everything is alright with it".

Wake up in the morning for my interview and get in the car to start it up. When it hit me to think I should check my differential if its leak.
Get out and WHAT DO YOU KNOW!! Its leak alright. Had a little Mississippi River going down my drive way. It was a good 2 feet long and I say 3in wide.

*****!! I'm thinking the worst. Like my diff cover broke. I've seen pictures on what happens on these forms and at svtperformance.
Anyways... I get on some jack stands and get under there and look.

Nothing.. just leaking from the bottom. Looked like the gasket to me is going out. I got some bonding compound(for now) to make it stop and filled it back up with some Mobil 1 75w-140.
It stopped it from leaking a lot...I Let it dry for a day.. then today I took it out for a drive around the block. Gave it just a little gas and.... instant wheel hop.

I don't know what to do know.. but to just take it in to my mechanic's shop.

Help me out guys... Im clueless right now..

P.S- To just think that the billetflow IRS brace was coming in these week.... and this had to happen

 

the brace will not make the wheel hop stop at all just help brace the cover. i had the same leaking as you last year. your cover is probably craked. mine had just 2 small hairline cracks, but you will need to replace it. If you are putting on abrace you may as well just replace the cover ar the same time.

 

Let me ask this. How do you go by taking the cover off. Is it easy for just me to do it????

 

you have to drop the whole rear end, i am sure it is a pain. unfourtunately i can't really say how bad it is because i got mine done at the dealer under warranty. and he installed my BF irs brace for free whaile he was there.
