Best bang for the buck?
Oh wow man. Hey where in PA you from anyway? Well I decided I'm just going to go ahead and get Bassani Cat-back Exhaust. Hear good things all over this forum about this brand. Not sure when I'll order it but I'll be getting it from performancecenter.com for$440.69 w/free shipping. On the site it says thatit gains10-12 HP/ 15 ft lbs Torque. Is this true or exaggerated?
In ideal conditions with the promise of a manufacturer buying adds in your magazines, Im sure that you 'could show' a 10-12HP and 15lb-ftgain. Will it add exactly that much to your car? Probably not. Are you going to dyno it immediately before and immediately afterwards to verify? Probably not. Bassani is one of the better flowing exhausts out there. Actually, the onlybrand I wouldnt go with is Flowmaster.
But anyway, does it really matter if its 5or 15HP? A cat-backIS a good mod, and wont negatively affect anything else down the road.

Gears are expensive, but does make a big difference even if you dont race. My friend installed 3.73 and a high performancetransmission for $1200 in his 1991 Gt and he kept up with a 95 GT that beat him for about two and half car lenght. So i suggest gears just incase another cobra pulls up next to you.[:@]

Bump for question. Is adding the bassani cat-back adding gains of 10-12 hp and 15 ft/lb torque?

not to confuse the original poster.... redfire chose pulleys, because he has a supercharger, so getting a smaller charger pulley, and a larger crank pully, increased his boost, hence increased his power.
if u get an underdrive pully system on ur NA car, u will see very minimal gains

I choose a pulley over gears... [8D]

Nobody on this board will choose pulleys over gears.
