dont clean the maf with carb cleaner. i dont know what your supposed to use but i know you need to be very very carful with that one.

sorrry to disappoint you, but u r incorrect. you do NOT need the screen in front of the MAF, and it will not cause the car to stall if it is missing. INFACT, that screen is usually one of the first things that we remove from the cars. It's unnecessary.

Let's not get into that here. There are plenty of discussions about that elsewhere. Some cars have issues with the screen removed, some don't. I don't think that's the issue here though.
