Default 4.6 to 5.0

Want to convert my 4.6 to a 5.0 with performance cams. What should I know?? I have a stock 4.6 DOHC 32 valve V-8.

Thanks

Ian

just looked into doing that, it is really expensive, and the performance guy that i ussually work with recommended against it saying that most of the ones he has seen don't make enough power more than a 4.6 to justify the cost. and that stroking the 4.6 may just be asking for trouble.

start with the basics! cold air intake, exhaust, headers, gears... then if u want to keep it all motor (which i have no idea what u have against FI), port ur heads, aftermarket cams.... I suppose u can then do a highcompression (11.5:1) stroker, and that should make very decent power, comprabable to a heads and cams ls1..

right. thanks. Finding a starting point is key I guess. Just want to 'keep it real'. As close to NASCAR regs aspossible.
