Does anyone know if the tool that you need to spread the caliper open to put new brake pads in is the same for the rear brakes and the front brakes???

 

? Havent changed brakes on this car yet. My last car I used the same C-clamp on the front that I used on the back.

 

The rear calipers require that the pistion be spun into the caliper. Take some needle nose pliers and place the ends in the notches and turn the piston to the right, spinning it back into the caliper. That's what I did on my GT and my Cobra w/ no problems.

For the fronts, just use a c-clamp; easy as pie...
