Did Ford use a different computer? Was the 04 better for some reason? I have heard in the past that the 03 was faster but dont know for sure.

different software in the computer, Ford changes the ECU code a few times each year... so even the same chip from one '03 may not work in another '03 with the same trim... look on your doorjam pass side I think for the computer code... its something like MD43 or something similar

 

So if i was to order a tuner would i need to specify the MD43 or whatever mine says?
