Default please help

I recently jumped ship(I HAD a 2002 Z28)and purchased a 2004 cobra. The car is a 1 owner and has a 3.10" upper pulley and a 90mm idler pulley. But in my glovebox there is a grey wire about 18" long and on the end of this wire is a dial that turns from 0-7, when it is set on 0 or 4 the car will crank up and run just fine, when it is on 4 the fanscut off.But when it is on 1-3 or 5-7 the car will do nothing but turn over. Does anybody have a clue on what this may be?? Thanks for your help, if you can help.

this is a switch to ur chip. keep it on 0!!! that is where ur "tune" is stored... the other numbers act as a kill switch when tunes aren't stored on there..

You can't by yourself. You have a chip that has multiple banks on it. When you get a dyno tune, they can flash the tune to one of the banks, then when you switch to that number, you're using that tune.

Find out from the previous owner what tunes he has saved to the chip right now. May have one for everyday driving, a hot tune, etc.... You would be better served by knowing which setting to put it on rather than switching numbers blindly .
