sorry, but the clutch itself does not go out with a pop. their bs'ing u! it was ur throw out bearing. if ur clutch messed up, it wouldn't cause u to not be able to put ur car in gear. it would just be slipping! since u cant put ur car into gear, and its not the clutch cable, then its ur throw out bearing! i hate when ppl with cobra (who don't know a lot about cars) get ripped off by dealerships![:@]

i just hate dealerships in general. i worked for Ford here in Tallahasse. All dealerships are crooked mother****ers and i dont care what anyone says. and its the manufactureres fault because they underpay everyone and that causes the employees to try and scrounge all the money they can from customers who are willing to take it to the dealership in the first place.

the only reason i took it to the dealership is cause i didn't think it was the clutch. i thought it was the transmission that took a **** on me. and yes all dealerships try to rape you on everything.

i let my boss drive it (cause he used to have a black 99 cobra vert)before the clutch went out and he said the clutch didnt feel right at all. i guess i should have paid more attention to it.

so i got my car back yesterday and the clutch was shot he showed it to me and there was nothing on it. so i'm driving home about 30 miles from the dealership and i was doing about 60-65 in 5th and i start hearing a loud high pitched noise and then the clutch startes slipping and finally popped out of gear. i stopped on the side of the road put it in first to see if it would move and as soon as i start letting the clutch out the there was a bad grinding noise. so i tried pushing the car but it seems like the car is in gear but it wasn't. the dealership went and picked it up last night and i hope its nothing major with the transmission. any ideas on what it is? thanks

well since he showed me the old clutch and there was nothing but metal showing i would say it was shot. since they came and towed the car back and their paying for the parts now and to fix it, i don't reallysee the pointto take it some where else and pay more to get it fixed.
