Default RE: Best Exhaust system for 96 cobra?

I have 4 1/2" of clearance from the bottom of my headers to the ground. There are lower exhaust components than the headers. Actually to be quite honest with ya, my MAC x-pipe that I used to have on with shorty headers was only 3" off the ground.

heres SLP LMII's w/ UPR O/R X on a 99 4v.

as u can see it started snowing so i really couldnt jump on it. SLP II's would be your best bet if you're goin O/R midpipe.

Okay guys, I've listen to a lot of you tube exhausts. My favorite one was the white 99 cobra from darcnytemare. What was this set up? I have a 96, so that set up may sound different, but I liked the tone. Any suggestions? Right now I have stock headers, custom x, to flow masters, out. Custom x.......mistake! I'm lookin the deep sound and the smooth high pitch @ high RPM.

I would also go with x pipes, no cats and (SLP Loudmouth if you want really loud exhaust). SLP makes a Loudmouth I, II, and Powerflo's with I's being the loudest and Powerflo's being the quietest out of the three. Youtube has tons of exhaust compilations, just type in which exhaust you're interested in and I am sure somone has uploaded a video with several different combinations. I personally plan on getting the JBA shorties w/ x pipes which I already have and the SLP Powerflo's. I thinkthat setup will sound mean as hell not to mention there are obviouslyhp and torque gains.
First and foremost when it comes to headers on a 4.6 its longtubes or leave the stock manifolds on period. Shorties do absolutly NOTHING for these cars and are not worth the money and PITA install to put them on a 4v. I have longtubes on my car and its slammed with coilovers and I do not have scrapping issues unless were talking a rather large speedbump. Honestly either leave the manifolds on or do longtubes those are the two options.
