Default 02 simulaters

my buddy just bought an 02 cobra. and bought a set of full length bbk headers. we gonna take all the cats off with the short h pipe as well and he asked about emissions.so i`m asking you guys where can i find some oxygen sensor simulaters to keep from throwing codes?

No Cobras were made in 2002 but you can go about buying the sensors at various sites like 50resto or summitracing.

when I had my 97 Cobra I threw Steeda MIL's...In my opinion they work great! I had originally bought BBK MIL's....but for some reason the check engine light would keep coming on!....So that's when I decided to go with Steeda and it worked! Check engine light didn't come on anymore.

thats wierd, i got some bbks MIL Eliminators and they are working fine. who knows, i've heard that every once in awhile the light still somes on with any MIL. Knock on wood, hasnt happened yet. Yeah but try summitracing.com or americanmuscle.com

he also gonna get the diablo sport tuner.is there any thing in the tuner that will let me program it to not throw a code for the o2 sensor?

wow! that is weird! I guess the bbks MIL's that I bought weren't functioning properly since the beginning. Oh! I didn't know that! Yeah knock on wood! That chech engine light can be annoying!

I believe the only thing you can do with the diablo is just reset the code every time it comes on. Dont get me wrong, the tuner does other things, just not with the o2 sensors i believe. Someone correct me if i'm wrong

yeah it turns out that his car is an 01 my bad. my neighbor bought the diablo sport tuner for his silverado and it worked wonders. with his he can turn off the 02 sensor and the torque management. alth i didnt know if this goes for the stangs as well. i know they don`t have torque management.

You can turn the rear O2 sensors off with the Diablosport or Xcal2/3 which will get rid of the CEL.
