Convertible vs Coupe
Regarding '03-'04 SVT Cobras, other than personal preference, are there any undesirable traits to the convertible? Less body stiffness show up in reduced handling, cowl shake, rattles?
Looking for a high performance cruiser, but want it to be a solid car.
They compare to late model vettes as far as solid build?

cowl shake? You talking about the convertible top? If so, its actually pretty solid. No sounds that bother me, but I usually have the radio turned up & mashin it most the time I take it out to drive it so maybe I dont hear everything!
The cowl is the bodywork behind the rear of the hood under and in front of the base of the windshield.
Many topless cars show move side to side movement of that area due to the stiffening effect that is missing from the removal of the hardtop.
A few cars that are actually designed as convertibles don't have that problem.

their is definitely cowl shake but if you do the full lenght subframe connectors and the strut tower brace and a integral roll cage it makes the car a whole lot stiffer....in fact probably as stiff as a coupe.
