4.6L DOHC RPM question

RE: 4.6L DOHC RPM question
My questions back to you are, what are you trying to accomplish by increasing your redline, and how much do you want to increase it? It's easy enough to change the fuel-cutoff point with a chip, but it won't do much for you performance-wise on a stock engine because your cams and intake are designed to make power below 7,000 RPM. You will also cause your valves to float without stronger valve springs and possibly blow your engine if you really try to wring it out with stock rods. This will most definitely decrease the life of your engine as well. The higher you want your engine to rev, the more $$$ it will cost you.
