90k?....i would just go and buy a worked supra and eat that M5 for breakfast. doesn't impress me you have to spend so much money just to get a car faster than a mustang.

 

Why do all BMW owners have those attitudes though? Even the ones who drive the Z series or even the 5 series act like they have the best cars on the planets and cobras are pieces of junk.

 

cause they think the more money u spend=the best car you can have. which is true until you're getting walked by a Civic where the guy only spent about $6,000 to put together.

To answer the OP's question, a turbo m5 will dust a stock/near stock Termi, but it wouldn't take a whole lot of money in the Termito even the playing field. A stock m5 is what, 500hp, add a turbo and it's gotta be north of 600hp to say the least. The whole, "I spent half of what you spent and can be just as quick" is a bogus argument IMO. If everyone believed that, no one would own a mustang, because there's plenty of cars out there that could be built for much cheaper and be just as quick. The m5 is a serious car, I'd love to own one if I had the cash for it, but a Termi is my dream car, so I'd take one over an m5 anyday.
