Default Noisy Gears

I just got an 03 cobra after i got out of the army. the gears in the tranny are noisy....i took it in to get it looked at and they said that the gears are just big and noisy...i believe that part, however, there is a certaing noise that happens at low rpms....its like a clank when you let off the gas and then accelerate again. kind of feels like a tranny mount is broke or something??? the dealership says its nothing...??

what do you guys think...do you have the same noise?

tranny houldn't be making any noise. The clank you refer to is most likely the u-joints. They are probably worn. If those aren't the problem then I would have to go right to the backlash on the ring and pinion ar worn. Prob just the u-joints. Change your trans fluid and if you have an aftermarket shifter make sure it's adjusted properly. Too far into gear will cause noise and not far enough into a gear will cause same noise. Good luck
