03 Cobra - Drive Train to Rear End problem
There is about 20 degrees play from the drive train to the rear end. You can spin the drive train by hand before the tires start moving. It clanks when it engages. Has anyone experienced this?
The dealership did not investigate this deep. i had to get a second opinion. the dealership said it was a big car with big gears and they are noisy....ha, i dont think so
does anyone have an 03, 04 with this problem???

ya man,
its pretty noisy under the stick shift but sounds good......i think the guy before me did something or the guys who test drove it before i bought it.........its like a clank sound is as best as i can describe. there is alot of play in the drive train to the rear end.....i can rotate it 20 degrees back and forthbeforethe tires start moving.....the noise is when the slack is pushed back and forth...like when i step on the gas the slack tightens.....when i let off it loosens...the clank come in both stages...
check it out on yours man....maybe its all the cobras.....i highly doubt it though
just reach under near the back and grab hold of the drive train and try to rotate it back and forth
