But be very, very careful when you thread them back in, the aluminum heads are easy to cross thread, then you are in trouble. I took my 96 in to a dealer for a tune up and they cross-threaded one, needless to say, I ended up getting a whole new engine from it.

Thats what I thought....I appreciate the answer. Thanks for taking it easy on me! I appreciate the advice about not cross-threading them.

Taking it easy? We're all here for the same reason, advice and a common interest. I'm still nervous about doing my new Cobra sparks and they are coming due soon. I hear some mech's use a tube to hold the spark plug, I'm thinking it gives them a better feel to when they start threading other than a socket with a long extension.

I don't know about the 99's but the NGK TR-6's are the most recommended for the newer ones.

Yeah, I'd go with NGKs, but find the right one. The TR-6 are for blown applications because they are a colder plug.

What about Bosch Platinum? Are the NGK's gapped from the factory?

The TR6's that I bought were gapped at .036, which is where I left them. Some say to use .035 for the 03/04 Cobra's, others say .036. I figured it was just easier to leave them they way they were.
