Ok a quick and easy question regarding the heads. WOuld the 03-04 Cobra heads fit on a 96 Cobra? I just got my 96 CObra and was looking at heads and wow are they exspensive. This is my first 4V and didnt realize how much more parts are for it. I was just thinking of getting a port and polish job but if the 03-04 flow that much more than a 99-01 4v Im sure they flow more than a 96.
It is a very quick and easy swap, but just know that you would be forced to also swap to a 99/01 intake, because the 96-98 intake does not match with the new tumble port heads. Your B valve covers will work just fine, but you will also need to swap to the updated exhaust manifolds (headers), as your stock 96 exhaust manifolds will not work. No more imrc's either...

all right dip**** you win im wrong!!!!!! u happy????? i DID call sean hyland motorsports AND THATS THE INFO I WAS TOLD !!!!!! when i called i was inquiring about this topic because i am in the process of forging my 4v in my mark VIII. i asked them about using the heads from a mach 1 because i found a full set for 400.00 and bolting on a s/c from a 03-04 cobra and they told me that the heads wouldnt flow the same as a 03 cobra because they were diffrent heads and had diffrent cams than the 03-04 cobra. now that was the info i went buy and was told buy a engine builder from canada!!!!!! i bow before you and all your wisdom...............

Thank you. Apology accepted... [8D]

I have been disappointed by Sean Hyland time after time, and I guess this is one of those times, AGAIN!

Whats even funnier is that on Sean Hyland's website, they list the stock heads for the Mach 1 as being the same as the stock heads for the 03/04 cobra, so I have no idea who you spoke to, but they need to be FIRED!

hey its all cool, id rather be proven wrong about something than go around telling stuff thats not right!!!!! i also asked them about 4v heads on a 2v iron block and they said that i would half to have another cooling passage machined into the block ??? at an extra cost of 595.00!!!! i guess that just because they have what seems to be a good book about 4.6/5.4 enignes dosent mean much!!!!!! and mm&ff had an issue where they raved about him!!! well to wrap this bit*h fest up sorry and thank you for proving me wrong!!!!!! now that i think about it damn it i could have had a almost new set of mach 1 heads for 400.00[:@][:@][:@][:@]DAMN IT!!!
