I am usually all for helping people with the do it yourself work, but when I saw the post about the coolant I had to side with MFJ DO NOT PULL THE ENGINE. Ask around for a friend or somone else that can help you.(that has done this before)You could probably put up a add in the forum for local people that have done this before and pay them alot less than a pro but thats still going on a limb.Best of luck.If you attempt this by yourself remember to NEVER TRUST A HYDRAULIC JACK they lower over time and the car could either kill you or break itself.

Never trust a jack period, and always use jack stands.

but like I said way up on this post. Do not try this at home!!! Don't be cheap and pay someone to do it. This cannot turn out good...

that i did not ask but it is not a hard job by any means. So if you want to go for it go for it. Don't bother what everyone else says about removing engines because half of the people on this froum have not removed a 4v yet they are talking about it. Lets just think about this if you try and get half way through it you can put the damn k member back on and have a shop do it. But if you try and get the engine off and do it yourself then you saved a bunch of money and u pulled a 4v!!!

im saying i KNOW MFJ has haha im guessing ehmark has... or atleast put one in since his is a swapped Gt and he does alot of his own work, ruffcat knows his way around a car, so i mean thats more than 1/2 that have had any imput on this thread, the ones who have not did not put in their input for the most part, but my point is the ones that said he should not are all the people with experience... and really... the coolant question just killed my faith.

Now you are speaking out of ignorance, buddy. And you ASSUME too much... You are recommending someone who has NO mechanical knowledge of any sort, to disregard MY advice.

It is idiotic, and he is likely to get stuck in the process of removing it, and not even being able to put it back.An ignorant personcan't ALWAYS undo a mistake. I am not calling him ignorant, as an insult, but rather stating the obvious, that he is ignorant and lacking knowledge, when it comes toworking on cars. I can't believe this idiocy I am hearing...

Does this sound like a person that should be working on his own ****? Someone that needs to ask where the motor mounts are? What wires to disconnect? Whether or not to drain the coolant? YEAH RIGHT!! That kid is a fukking JOKE!!! And you're just as muchof a fukking joke, to tell him to not listen to someone who KNOWS HIS ****, and to even attempt to remove the engine by himself.

I agree, for me it is VERY EASY to remove a 4v, but not for someone that knows NOTHING about mechanics...

Wake up bro! I would rather have my girlfriend try to remove my engine, than for this kid to even change my spark plugs!

If you insist on not going to a shop then at least ask a friend for help.If you make one mistake with this engine then its going to be expensive. This is not a 5.0 where you can go on craigslist and get a new one for $500. EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE.
