Default IRS Brake Calipers

Will 96 brake calipers fit onto a 04 IRS? I'm hearing mixed answers. I know the rotors are different but i'm unsure of the Calipers.

So if the IRS has the bracket then I all I'd need to do is take my GT calipers off and put them on the IRS, am I correct?

I'm sleepy.... rough day at school!

The mounting bracket is built into the knuckle and the calipers/hats are identical between gt's/cobras. It should bolt up with reletively no problem.

Sweet! IRS here I come!!!! I should be picking it up in a week or two when my wife can get the day off for a road trip down to Ohio. 900$, does that sound like a good deal? it's a 31 spline 04 with 12,000 miles on it. Bone stock.

What? You need this bracket that bolts to the knuckle and the caliper bolts to that bracket

Oops my bad, i took hat to be that bracket (wrong terminology too btw) and the actual mount on the knuckle that bracket attaches to be the "mounting bracket"
