Ok im lookin at either a 99 or a 2001. Their in my budget range and i can afford one easy with out really tryin. What are the real differences. Which one can take the most amount of hp on stock internals. Could i bolt up only of those stock eatons onto it.I dont really know anything about the 4.6.

Sure you bolt up & Eaton...but you'll need injrctors, pumps....save a little more an buy a 03-04 Cobra! Then you'll have the real deal!

Yes the Eaton will bolt on but everybody that I have seen that has done it was alot more work than just bolting it on top of the older 4V's.
Internally they can take the same amount of HP/TQ

99 has the t-45 tranny, and 01 had the 3650, so they can bolt on the same power but the 01 is better setup to handle it especially if you want to put a blower on it

well what about HP i head the aluminum block and components are pretty weak in the 01s

Ok thats good to know what type of hp can that block actually handle. Maby instead of the eaton ill bolt up a kenne bell

your going to need to get forged internals if you want to supercharge otherwise it'll just be a matter of time...

lol nice forged rods and pistons im assuming? What about the crank yay or nay??? also hows the block hold?

some 99's had the teksid block and 01's had the wap block (some of them got the teksid block though from factory or aftermarket)
but as for the internals is should be the same
