loss in from the tranny not the rear end correct me if I am wrong. 3rd member should be the same concept therefor power loss if any would be the same????

Power loss occurs though the entire driveline and relates to converting/transferring rotation through trans and rear axle. I wouldn't think you would have any higher percentage of loss via SRA or IRS.

I would expect equal mechanical loss of HP with either. Someone correct me if wrong.

That's what I thought to since there's equal amount of friction Ground/tire and the same traction loc differential. The only small thing could be causing more is the angle of the the CV's.

Anyone else?
