I completely understand where you're coming from even though I live by a different mentality. I bought a muscle car to drive it like a muscle car. We need poeple like you so there will be some nice terminators at the car shows in 20yrs.

Just drive & take care of your Cobra the way YOU want to....I would not worry about racing on the streets, etc...I also take pride with my Cobra...Good for you

just drive this one till you can afford another one and buy one and then modify which ever one doesn't look the nicest...problem solved and instead of one cobra you've got 2!

I hear where you are coming from. Don't let people get to you. I never run mine hard on the street.
However, that being said, personally I bought my car to drive. I've got almost 200,000 miles on it, and I flog it on the track all the time.

My dad is the same way about his 03 terminator. He would never ever race it. I bought mine specifically to race it. But its nice that in x number of years il be getting a 2nd pristine, stock, terminator lol.

ya i know what u guys mean my dad babies his 78 trans am he personally hasnt driven it YEARS he just lets it look pretty in the garage. i take it out every now and then but that was before i had my cobra. I feel that cars are meant to be driven so drive them no matter what kind it is. I love jumping on the gas pedal. if i had a parking lot in my backyard i would be burning up tires more then i would sleep. of course i keep my car clean from the top to the bottom but i got 300 horse for sumthing might as well use em.

But props on holdin back from smokin everyone u see

i take it easy on both of my stangs most the time, i dont need to prove how quick they are, especially to the ricer crowds. if someone i know want a piece (a lot of my friends) ill show the my gt tail lights. the only worthy kills to mention are my friends ls2 gto, a right-hand drive supra, and a 6 cylinder 240sx. when i want to hammer down, i hop on my sport bike that is made to run all out. my cobra is for my lady friends who like the convertible, when its warm =) you dont have to prove you cobra is fast, b/c you know it is.
but i also agree with jlg32281, muscle cars are made to be driven like muscle cars. similar to 4x4's, i have one to use the 4x4, not to say just in case i need it.
