Kenne Bell vs Procharger vs Vortech

I went KB and do not regret it at all. actually, my only regret was that i should have done this mod along time ago. I was like you when i first started shopping for blowers. didn't know what to get. posting threads and doing endless hours of research. I ended up going KB due to its efficiency, super low maintance, and instant power.
The way i look at it, i mostly drive on the street. The car doesnt see alot of track time by any means. so when deciding to get a blower i thought, do i want instant power to have fun with on the street, or do i want a blower that makes all its power on the top end of the rpm band? For me the decision was easy. I wanted to build a car that when i mashed the gas, i was at max hp/tq to have fun with. I have been running the blower for about 4 months and have not had any issues.
I'm not saying its the best out there, or that this is what you need to buy, just giving some thought to the subject. yea 5G's is up there but i do not regret a single cent.
As far as your gears go, you will need to change them. i have 3.90 currently and they are too much. i have a set of 315 BFG DR's and i can spin them with ease.
Also, you will not be in boost all the time. There is a blow by valve on the blower. So under normal driving conditions, you will not see boost(gas milage stays the same as it is now). Only when you step on the pedal will you see boost. The KB will make full boost at 2500 rpm's.
I have never been inside a car with a centri unit so i cant speak for them, but i believe they make full boost around 3700?(please correct me if i'm wrong). KB does not lose boost at high rpm. at 5000rpm, you are still making the same power as you were at 3000 rpm.
anyway, enough rant. good luck with your choice, Going FI will be the best mod you'll ever do!
