Default 01 Cobra oil leak

I have an 01 Cobra that recently developed an oil leak. It started out as a few drips here and there the got so bad that it looked like someone was squirting a trail of oil behind the car. We put it up on a jack and it wasn't leaking a drop. It sat running for over 10 minutes and didn't drip one drop. It's leaking on the drivers side in the area around the oil filter. We cleaned the area and changed the oil filter just to be sure. It's now back to leaking in little drops. Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone give any sugestions.
Thanks

i have had that exact problem it is the O ring between the oil cooler and oil adapter....when you take the filter off there is a huge 12mm hex bolts where the filter screws onto....good part easy fix bad part your going to have to drain all the coolant and oil....my friend with a 98 had the same prob not as bad as mine was though....if you want detailed directions pm me
