Time out. You were in 4th about to hit 5th trying to get to 60? If you weren't getting on it then it wouldn't get going fast. The Cobra's should do 60 in second gear. You were in too high of a gear.

Like others have said, the 4V engine is very distinctive. The valve covers are HUGE compared to a 2V that you would find in a GT or even your truck. Look for "Cobra" on the front brake calipers. The wheels are different on the Cobras, as are the bumpers. I recommend going to google and searching for a Cobra engine. It's very easy to tell the difference between the 4 Valve Cobra motor and the 2 Valve GT motor. Let us know..

BTW What are they askin?

that could very well be a possability seeing as that is the first time I have driven a manual car, I have always driven a manual truck and I know that the gears are pretty different(for example in my truck I have always shifted into second and around 20MPH

anyways the story behind it is that my aunt does not want my cousin to have a sports car so they are thinking of just selling it to me for roughly a grand and there is even talk of just giving it to me since it was given to them

Get it and sell it to me for $2000. Either they have no idea on the value of the car or it is a 6er with Cobra emblems on it. I'm gonna go with the second

They probably don't know what they have, they are not to big on cars they are more of the Mercedes type( they love Mercedes, and as soon as something seems wrong with the car they sell it and then buy a new one, or just take it to the dealer and just say fix it)
