*Wheel alignment gurus in here please*
Ok here goes.
Bought a 96 Cobra, 61000 miles.
Previous owner changed the coil spring (4) with Steeda drag Spring model 555-8230 also changed the caster/camber plates with UPR model 2014-94.
Since I have the car I also had the 4 wheels balanced because all four tires are new and thought that the previous owner may not have balanced since I had a slight shimmy at 50mph.
Now I bring the car for an alignment because I noticed, since 2500 miles I've drove, an irregular wear of the front tires.
The front end guy gives me the spec:
left
caster +4.04
camber -1.39
toe +1/16
right caster +4.06
camber -1.50
toe +1/16
He's at the limit for adjustment, he can't bring the car to spec.
He tells me to put back the original coil springs.
What are my options here?
Thanks a million for your input on this.

Sounds like an answer a Dealership would give.
I would take it to a different shop there is no reason they shouldn't be able to adjust the front end. Unless there is a different problem. The C/C plates should allow all the adjustment they need

is the car slammed? Did he mod the after market springs? I have heard of a few people having to notch the c/c plates with extreme drops. But odds are they don't know or didn't bother to adjust the c/c plates. That said, last time I checked "spec" was a wide range, so dont get too hung up on digits. just as long as you dont get fugged up wear
