Default 96-98 Headers problem

I've got a 98 SVT. Everything is stock except for my MAC longtube headers, MAC O/R H-pipe, and Flowmaster 50s... Prior to getting the headers and O/R H, i never noticed any oil smoke under heavy acceleration. But since i got them, people I've raced have commented on seeing oil smoke coming out my tailpipes.. Is this a common problem? Or should I be starting to worry about my internals?

are you shure its oil smoke? a puf of black fuel smoke is common under hard exclleration, and will be more noticable with an off road h or x pipe, because of having no cats, check you oil, if your car is not burning oil, i think its ok.

it could be that but it could be more. Many Mac longtube header owners have expreienced the same problem. It is a long story but if you do some research through google searching mac longtube headers and problems. Several people who have them have reported your same problem and i cant remember the whole story but something about metal shavings from inside the header get sucked back into the engine.
