So MMR offers a Stage 3 port that says +45HP. Is this a realistic gain from a port? The cost is only $850 for a 4V. Would there be any other respectable shop that would provide a better increase around the same price? When they do port it, would the intake still match up (in your opinions) or would that need to be ported as well?

To get a maximum benefit, the intake obviously should be ported too, but you would still get power from the heads being ported also. If you really want the fact that they add that much power, ask them to send a dyno graph. Also I don't know how different the ratings are but I asked them awhile ago and those are gains from C heads, not B heads. Those ratings are also probably higher in the stock RPM range for cobras too, so the max gain maybe 45hp but you may only get a moderate gain in power if you are only revving your motor to 7000rpm.

That would be nice if they could send a dyno graph. It sounds like a really good deal to me but i'm going to have to buy extra heads so I can have those ported while mine are still on the car and it's up and running. I'll have to figure something out for the intake I guess. I would be happy with 30 at the wheels if I can get that much.
