Forging motor?

Forging motor?
I am looking into buying the Level 10 CNC Race Prepped 4.6 Modular Ford block and the 4.6 Ford Modular Piston and Rod Kit with 4340 H beam rods from DSS Racing. Any opinions on these items or the company? I am looking to build the motor myself to get some experience with the lower end of which currently I have 0. Any tips, opinions, or thoughts would be appreciated.

Buy the Sean Hyland DVD. Worth every penny. good luck with your build man, modulars are intimidating if you've never torn into one before. I could tear a 5.0 apart and rebuild it in my sleep, but the modular is not as forgiving when it comes to clearances and what not. Take your time when dropping the crank, especially in the thrust bearing/rear main area...if you don't pay attention to what you're doing (same in the oil pump/crank trigger area) you'll be rewarded with a chewed up crank and a worthless engine.

Yeah, he breaks it down pretty good. Disassembly, inspection, machining/prep, assembly, etc. It's a close second to the Ford Service manual, which you can find on Ebay and is also worth every penny as it gives you bolt by bolt steps.
