Haha! My screen name on ls1tech is 5 point 1...

I was originally going to do a turbo lq9 motor in the Cobra, BUT unforseen financial problems prevented this, so for now, I'm sticking with my stroker whipple set up...

LOL...no, it's really not that. We just get tired of the Mustang vs F-body ****. Honestly, most of us "LS1 guys" aren't too keen on the 2V 4.6; but a good majority do respect the 4V's and their potential. I still stand by the theory that there is no replacement for displacement...and typically it takes FI to make even a 4V quick. That being said...I do believe in run what ya brung! I just appreciate a guy who can call a spade a spade.

I personally think the Mach's and Cobra's are cool...and I wish an LS1 sounded as good. That being said, it's still cheaper to build an LS1 to go faster

^Good Post, except for the "sound" comments. I think the cammed LS motors sounds a lot meaner than any modular ford could sound.

+1..Deff good post. It does not take much money thou to make a terminator go fast. You do have to respect anything that is fast thou. lol for the no love for 2v's

Thanks...part of what I meant about $$$ included the buy in price. Terminators do go quick (what, mid 10's?) for a reasonable amount of money and single digits for substantially more...but the buy in is quite a bit more than a Mach, N/A Cobra, or (now at least 7 year old) F-body. I still think the Terminator is a sick car, esp with the solid axle conv.

Back to the OP, though. If I were you I'd get a Mach and save up for a Procharger. You have the platform to run 11's easy and maybe into 10's without too much $$$; and a solid axle to boot. Terminators are kick ***, and the Mach doesn't have the built bottom end...but you will get to use a cooler (temp wise) blower setup and still probably be cheaper than the base cost of a Term...but, if you've got the $$$ to burn for a Term and some mods and are set on a Muffstain..er Mustang...then get a Term and don't look back (unless it's in the rear view mirror at the guy you're beating). As for an N/A Cobra...I wouldn't take one for free and seriously, the only reason to get a GT is to either make lots of noise or to spend lots of money with minimal returns.

It seems like more ls1 owners show more respect to cobra's then 2v owners.

Well yeah! A 281ci 2V making 260hp isn't impressive to us...especially when a lot of 2V owners try to convince us they can outrun us with bolt ons. The Cobra, and the Mach get a lot more love because they have a lot more potential and can actually be a threat to us.

Agreed! LOL. Your heads/cam/bolt ons 2V makes what at the tires?

Default possible cobra purchase

Think about 9000-10000 for a silver 2001 cobra with 32000 miles is fair? Its got its minor blemishes, but survivable.
