Default Build engine or drop an 03-04 termi engine?

so i have a 99 cobra which according to some tranny mechanic the engine locked up. i kinda dont wanna believe him cuz the i thought wen that happened the engine is suppose to smoke wen it happens or watever. the only thing the car did was throw sparks under the car when i missed third. i figured it was something with the tranny but then i got that answer that my engine was locked. so my question would it be better to build the engine it has now or get the termi engine and do whatever i need to drop that engine in? I would glaldy appreciate any help thanks

So when you missed third did your engine lock up immediately? And now it won't crank over?

if you saw sparks shoot out from under the car you should see a hole, crack of something! try and take off you ur belt and see if you car will turn over. my a/c compressor seized up on me before and it shot sparks everywhere and would not let the engine turn over making me thing the engine had locked up.

I'll say this, if you can afford a Terminator engine and T-56 tranny assembly, then go for it, but if you're not that rich, then find and fix the problem you have now, cause that will still be the cheapest route. I doubt the engine locked up on you, I really don't see any way for that to have happened unless something internally failed.

I would pull the heads and get a built short block... it would be a better way to go, then add a blower
