so when i bought my car the kill switch was already installed but they had wired it incorrectly to shut the car down while it was running the alt. was keeping the car running, so i decided i was going to run my wire through the kill switch to fix the problem and it did. but now i get dim lights when i idle etc.

 

I don't recall the gauge wire but be sure to use a fusable link or a maxi fuse. You don't want your car to burn to the ground if the alt fails.
