I'm a first time poster. The "Check fuel Cap" light came on a few days ago. I replaced the Fuel cap then and just this morning the light came up again. Do you guys have any ideas what this could be?

Not yet. I'm doing that tonight. Saturday night it came on and I thought it was the cap. I disconnected the neg. battery cable, installed the new cap. Closed it correctly and attached the neg. battery cable. It turned off for 2 days and just this morning it came back on.

I have been reading a lot of threads on this site which have been very helpful. I'm thinking I have a leak in the EVAP system. I have been burning a signficant amount of fuel lately. I'm taking the car to Ford where my buddy is going to stick it in my rear and charge me an arm/leg

 

FYI,
Failed EVAP Test and found a fuel leak above the Gas Tank. $262.00
