ok then gtfo and save space in the thread for people that actually have something constructive to add, I'm not lying and have no reason to be. At this point it's become quite obvious that you have no intention of doing anything but try and cause problems so don't even bother posting in this thread anymore because I won't be even reading anything with you name next to it.

now a lot of what im seeing for sale are the 99 models, are they really that bad in comparison to a 01? cause i see a 99 vert i'm really liking and im still not 100% on exactly what the 01 fixes solve, is it just the cooling mod?

also my thing is not so much straight lines, don't get me wrong I'll go to a strip and do some runs but i much prefer taking the car around corners and pushing the limits. that being said if I get a vert how are they with the body flex? the one I'm looking at has full length sub frame connectors welded in, would that make enough of a difference to be worth looking at?
If you google "1999 mustang cobra recall/fix" you will be able to read on all of what they did. As for the head cooling mod, that is something you have to buy and install. I bought the "even flow gen 2 head cooling mod" from lethalperformance.com and it was a pretty straight forward and easy install. Just take your time and start early in the day, this way if you get angry you can walk away for a bit.

FLSFC's make a huge difference. I got them installed on my coupe, and it made a big difference, I couldn't imagine how good they would stiffin up a vert. If your going to get a vert and you want a street/corner carver I would do the following mods:

- Springs (IMO H&R's are the best). I run H&R Sports and love em.
- CC Plates (MM's are the best)
- Bump-steer Kit (Steeda)
- Shocks/Struts (Bilsteins)
- FLSFC's (MM's or Steeda)
- Strut Tower Brace (MM 3-Point is the best) I run this

If I had a vert, the 2 first things I would do would be the FLSFC's and Strut Tower Brace.

Hope this helps!

yeah did help a bit, also cool to find out that after the recal fix a lot of them got boosted up to about 300 rwhp and torque. other thing is with that cooling mod is it required at the stock power level? should I stay low on the RPMs till I get one and install it?

They are not 300rwhp, they are 320hp at the motor -15% drive-train loss you are looking at about 272rwhp, but the 4v motor responds well to mods. Also these motors love to rev and 4.10s would be good for it. I recommend the head cooling mod at any power level and keeping the rpms low are not going to do anything.

ok i went back and read the article again guy had his cobra dynoed before and after recall fix got 270 before and about 290 after but he had a few bolt ons. So if i got a JLT intake, full exhaust and a little bit a tweaking with the timing/fuel think i could pull 300 at the wheels?

Yup! Then MAYBE it might actually be able to beat your beastly V6 (AKA: GT KILLER)!

Yea I think you could and when you talk full exhaust you mean longtubes, midpipe & catback right? Also don't put cheap bbk or mac crap on the car. Buy yourself a nice set of headers such as Kooks or ARH. I say run ARH or Kooks 1 3/4ths longtubes with there matching off road x pipe into either a bassani, borla or magnaflow catback. I would also do the egr delete at the same time as the longtubes. After all that I would take it to a good shop and get it dyno tuned. Don't use no canned crap tune on these cars.

yeah a full exhaust, i've heard a few with kooks long tubes and a UPR O/R X so i figured thatd be the route to go i just cant pick what kind of cat back to get, ill probably do a EGR delete right when i get it lol. never did like the idea of pumping exhaust back into the intake. another thing i was curious about was 2.5 vs 3 inch piping, would it make a big enough difference sound or power wise to be worth doing it or should i just stick with the 2.5? maybe one of these days if I ever get out of school I can start saving for a nice big project, feels like it's never going to end!

The only time 3" pipeing actually matters is when your making 600rwhp+. Even then their are guys running 1000rwhp that are still using 2.5" pipes.
