TURBO CAM.. NEED HELP

Default TURBO CAM.. NEED HELP

iv done some reaserch on some cams. i have a set of comp cams with a 112 lobe serperation, iv heard that most turbo mustangs run a 118 lobe seperation, and supercharged mustangs mostly run 116. anyone know anything about cams because i am clueless.

Its pretty simple. The higher the lsa, the less overlap the intake and exhaust lobes have. For a boosted car, you don't want less than a 114 lsa otherwise you will leak boost out of your exhaust valves.

yeah i kind of figured that.. should i run about 118 and with a 118 lobe seperation would it have a good lope to it?

Yeah 118LSA has a nice lope to it. Whatever you do get some custom grind cams, talk to someone about your set-up and see what they reccomend, custom grind cams are the same price as off the shelf cams.

You can even go with a 116 lsa.

My cams have a 116 lsa and this is how much they lope:

yeah you were right i talkd to the guy at comp cams he said that 116 lobe sep is good for a turbo setup. he said he will swap mine out for free all i hafto do is pay for the shipping.
